UPDATED: RCMP found missing 69 year old women in St. George, N.B. 

RCMP of St. George, N.B have released a statement in regards to a missing 69 year old women who was hiking on the walking trails in the area. 

The women is known as Martha Comeau and was reported missing yesterday (September 20th 2017)

Currently, they have the local RCMP detachment including the RCMP police dog services, the local St. George fire department, and several search & rescue teams searching the area for Comeau. 

Full Statement:

“The St. George detachment of the West District RCMP are investigating a report of a lost hiker.

On September 20, around 7:15 p.m. police received a report that 69-year-old Martha Comeau from Maces Bay, N.B. went missing on the walking trails in the St. George area. It is believed she was on the trails that run from the Day Adventure Centre to Manor Road when she was separated from her husband.

Martha Comeau is described as a Caucasian woman, 4’11” tall, weighing approximately 120 pounds, with short grey hair and she wears prescription glasses. She was wearing black clothing and slip-on walking shoes. Police are concerned for her well-being as she has a medical condition and could be disorientated.

The St. George RCMP detachment, RCMP Police Dog Services, St. George Fire Department and Ground Search and Rescue teams from York Sunbury, Greater Fundy and Charlotte County have been deployed to search the area.

The RCMP is asking that the public stay away from the area while the search is underway.

Anyone who sees Martha Comeau is asked to contact the St. George RCMP at 506-755-1130.”

New Statement from St.George RCMP: 

The 69-year-old Maces Bay woman reported missing on September 20, 2017 has been located safe and sound.
