The RCMP are investigating a collision that took place on November 1, 2017 in Aldouane, N.B.
A 75-year-old woman died at the scene after she was hit by a vehicle along Route 134.
The collision took place around 6:30PM and the police reported that the woman was hit after trying to remove something from the road.
Officiers, and a collison reconstructionist were on the scene. The area of the Hwy was closed for several hours, and traffic was diverted.
There were two passengers in the vehicle and both were taken to hospital.
The investigation is ongoing.
The Southeast District RCMP is investigating a fatal collision, after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Route 134 in Aldouane, N.B.
Police responded to the collision shortly after 6:30 p.m. on November 1, 2017.
A 75-year-old woman from Aldouane died at the scene as a result of her injuries. It appears that the woman was struck by a vehicle while she was trying to remove something from the road. A man and woman that were in the car were both taken to hospital and later released.
An RCMP collision recontructionist attended the scene.
The collision is still under investigation, however alcohol and speed are not believed to have been contributing factors.
