On November 25th, 2017 The People’s Alliance Southwest Miramichi Bay Du Vin during association held a nomination convention in Blackville, N.B where two members of the PANB were running for candidacy.
In the end, Arthur O’Donnell was elected as the candidate for PANB in Southwest Miramichi Bay Du Vin for the 2018 provincial election. His nomination was contested by Lester Logan.

“Arthur O’Donnell lives in the village of Doaktown with his wife, Lorrie McDonald. They are the proud parents of four children, Pattie, Peter, Ryan, and Neil.
Presently Art is a Councillor for the Village of Doaktown and is also a Volunteer Firefighter. As well, he holds the positions of Executive Member and Past President of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #23 and Chairperson of the “River Run 4 Veterans”.
Art was born in New Brunswick in 1963 and graduated from Doaktown Consolidated High School. He joined the Navy in 1985 and achieved the Rank of Chief Petty Officer 2nd Class. During his Navy career of over 25 years, he was deployed to the Persian Gulf during the Kuwait/Iraq War, Operations in Bosnia, and as a Command Staff in Afghanistan. He also served 3 of these years as a Leadership Instructor in CFB Halifax.
In his spare time, Art enjoys playing hockey and fastball. Fly fishing and hunting are his other favorite outdoor activities.
Art is very anxious to serve the people of New Brunswick and believes the People’s Alliance of New Brunswick is bringing positive change to this great province. He is especially interested in helping to bring about positive changes in the language policies, ambulance services, and in creating strong rural regions.”
