Two teens arrested in connection to damaged church, St. George, N.B.

Police have confirmed that two teenage boys have been arrested in connection to the damaged Church of Christ in St. George, New Brunswick.

Between November 19th-25th the church was damaged and photos surfaced online asking anyone with information to report it to Crime Stoppers or to contact RCMP.

Police have said, “windows were broken, a brand-new piano was smashed, many items were thrown around and wires and thermostats were ripped from the wall.”

On November 28th, 2017 the two teenagers, 15 year-old boy, and other 17-year-old boy were officially arrested in connection to the vandalism. The have since been released and are due in court February, 7th, 2018.

RCMP Statement:

Two teenaged boys have been arrested in connection with property damage at the Church of Christ in St. George.

Sometime between November 19 and November 25, 2017, the church was broken into and extensively damaged. Windows were broken, a brand-new piano was smashed, many items were thrown around and wires and thermostats were ripped from the wall.

On November 28, 2017, a 15 year-old boy from Chance Harbour, and a 17-year-old boy from Beaver Harbour, were arrested in connection with the incident. They were released from custody and will appear in court on February 7, 2018.

The investigation is continuing.

  1. Have them doing all clean up and repairs by uaing heor own hands. And they will continue to be used as such until it is deemed replaced or repaired also lawns and snow removal. For next 5 years. Just an idea.
